A beautiful write up on Amitabh Bachchan’s blog about the ~new arrival.

Not gonna lie, I teared up a bit, but then you all know how I feel about grown men and babies.

Also, as I was out shopping today, I contemplated all the things Big B and I have in common:

  • We’re both avid bloggers
  • His initials are AB, mine are BA
  • Neither of us eat meat
  • We’re both passive aggressive
  • We’re both sexy mofos

But I certainly don’t have his way with words. In fact, few people do. Which is why I occasionally head over to his blog (and inevitably come away feeling enlightened but less intelligent than I thought I was).

And it’s also really nice to read the comments. Most of them are more than respectful, and they’re not from some random web surfers. These people, right or wrong, feel connected to their favorite celebrity. Some of them begin with, “Remember what I told you? Remember how I said…” and other extremely personal addresses. It’s quite lovely to read, and if you’re ever in doubt about the pervasive power of the culture of celebrity, here’s your proof that it indeed exists.
